Job Description:

The Staff Accountant is a highly accountable and results-oriented professional who is ready to hit the ground running by providing support to the finance team by managing daily accounting tasks. Day-to-day activities include, but are not limited to, recording all transactions related to revenue and expenses, and posting them to various accounts. Monthly activities include, but are not limited to, reconciling all assigned accounts.

Duties:

·Enter, Track and Monitor Accounts Payable

·Issue and prepare invoices as needed

·Track and monitor Accounts Receivable

·Prepare checks, payments, and bank deposits

·Ensure that required debt payments (company credit cards, loans, or lines of credit) are paid on a timely basis

·Ensure that monthly bank & credit card reconciliations are completed timely for month-end close

·Maintain a complete digital filing system to support financial records

·Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements

·Assist with audits

·Review, verify, and file certified payrolls and supporting documentation from subcontractors

·Coordinate with government and client representatives to ensure certified payrolls are accurate and filed on time

·Resolves any discrepancies surrounding certified payroll issues

·Assist in measuring KPIs and preparing reporting, as requested

·Assist in coordinating the preparation and compilation of year-end reporting, financial statements, and reconciliations for CPA firm, for tax return preparation

Requirements:

·Must be based in United States

·Associate's degree in accounting/finance preferred or equivalent business experience

·Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting

·Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Procedures (GAAP)

·Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets

·Good with numbers and figures, and an analytical acumen

·Must be proactive and solution oriented

·Able to work independently and as part of the team

·Detailed-oriented, quality and precision focused

·Outstanding attention to detail and time management

·Excellent customer service skills

·Well-organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities

·Able to maintain confidentiality and integrity

·Able to sit for extended periods of time and work on a computer

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $65,000.00 per year
