You'll have...

  • Bachelor of Science/Engineering or academic equivalent

Even better, you may have...

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes(es), tooling, and assembly of the responsible vehicle system & component commodities: Roof systems, SMC Molding, body ornamentation & trim, glass/mirrors, front/rear facias/bumpers, plastic trim
  • Manufacturing and/or Program Management experience in an industrial operations environment.
  • Experience with Tooling, Assembly, SMC, metal/plastic joining technologies, Injection Molding, Painting, and/or Machining is desired
  • Knowledge of Problem Solving, Quality system (ex. SIM, IATF) and tools
  • Supply/Issue Resolution Management Experience
  • Be proficient in English, both written and oral when working with global teams
  • Black Belt or Green Belt beneficial
  • Flexibility to Travel in US / Canada

In this position...

  • This position will help execute the successful collaboration of Ford and its suppliers to launch vehicle systems and commodities.
  • The person in this role will be responsible for industrializing and managing quality, capacity, and resolving production issues for the new model program
  • Travel will be part of this role, so you will be able to visit different supplier sites to address how to plan appropriately and remediate issues as needed.

What you'll do...

  • Drive Flawless Launches at assigned supplier sites, collaborating with Cross functional team through adherence Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Supplier Quality Issue Resolution, escalate significant issues promptly and provide “date to green” plan
  • Conduct onsite evaluation visits for priority commodities per Global Product Develop System (GPDS) supplier engagement process for new programs
  • Review supplier incremental capital and tooling work plans compliance to PPAP requirements and launch new equipment / tooled end items on time with quality and at rate
  • Support Capacity Purchasing team with capacity studies interfacing with suppliers and Ford cross-functional teams
  • Drive capacity/uplift actions implementation with suppliers inline with the Global Capacity Planning (GCP) study requirements
