What you'll do...
JOB SUMMARY
Provide technical guidance and production support for database projects in EDS and DataOps Team applications and databases, perform root cause analysis of issues, and provide solutions. Perform data management and governance concepts and solutions – layered data-warehouse / data lake / hybrid architecture, ETL framework, Data Modeling, Data Quality, Business Glossary / Metadata Management / Data Cataloging, Data Lineage, Data Security and Privacy, and Data Governance. Improve data reliability with Talend or scripting languages such as Python, Pandas, and NumPy. Develop and implement new technology solutions to increase data reliability and observability. Lead technical design and code reviews for new enhancements and maintenance work. Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts, and software architects to develop, test, and maintain data systems. Establish and implement a monitoring strategy using Azure native services and integration with Dynatrace and Splunk to monitor and manage infrastructure. Implement Event Framework, and model enterprise data services to deliver batch and real time data for analytics and reporting capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
Five years of IT experience to include:
- Data management, layered data-warehouse / data lake / hybrid architecture, Data Modeling, Data Quality, Data Lineage, Data Security and Privacy, Data Governance.
- ETL framework.
- Cloud-based data warehouse solution implementation / migration from on prem to cloud based on Snowflake, SQL Server database and data processing solutions.
- Optimized Indexing, ETL mappings to import and export data from relational and non-relational sources.
- Change management and deployment of database using Automated Build and Releases, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployments using Azure DevOps.
- Production Support to EDS and DataOps Team applications and databases. Azure Data Factory for all the DataOps teams.
In lieu of a bachelor's plus 5 years of experience, a master's plus 3 years of experience is acceptable.
