What will you do:

The primary responsibilities of the Senior Material Requirements Planner (MRP) are lead and develop work processes that integrate production requirements into materials plans across multiple external manufacturers for consolidated material forecasting. Responsible for the consolidated monthly forecasting of chemicals by converting the production requirements of finished goods into a consolidated material forecast for suppliers supporting multiple external manufacturing sites. The Sr. MRP Buyer will be responsible for consolidating, reviewing, and validating forecast month over month, highlighting changes in the forecast, and investigating root cause with Planning partners. The Sr. MRP Buyer will communicate the monthly materials forecast to the various suppliers while highlighting changes from prior month and assessing supplier capacity. The Sr. MRP Buyer will be Supply Chain’s single point of contact supporting the business planning process or raw materials and components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and Detailed scheduling concepts
  • Develop processes and governance for forecast consolidation
  • Ensure timely gathering of required forecast input from various functions in the external manufacturing plants and within Kenvue’s internal site
  • Take the responsibility for complete and accurate data inputs
  • Leads the investigation process to reconcile forecast changes from prior month
  • Communicates consolidated forecast to all suppliers, assess supplier’s capacity and engage appropriate business partners to resolve gaps
  • Effectively partner with internal and external business partners
  • Demonstrates an understanding of leading practices to drive continuous improvement in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) using systems and cross-functional processes
  • Leads Business Planning process for raw materials and packaging components to support Source organization in volume commitments and supplier strategy
  • Analyze and verify Business Planning volume swings and call out major changes to team to ensure Supplier Network can support
  • Maintains compliance with company policies regarding all safety

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 4 years business and system related experience
  • Candidate must be able to demonstrate successful leadership, planning management expertise, and strong sense of process ownership
  • Experience should demonstrate strong cross-functional relationship development
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills – must be able to relate & compare, securing relevant information and identifying key issues
  • Must be able to demonstrate initiative and lateral thinking to problems solve
  • Strong decision-making and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

Preferred:

  • Basic knowledge of master data elements and function within ERP system is strongly preferred
  • Experience in operations or related field (Supply Chain, Planning, Logistics, Procurement, Purchasing, Materials Management, Manufacturing) is strongly preferred.
