Overview:
The Integrated Marketing Manager is responsible for creating integrated marketing strategies, campaign plans, and leading the team who implements them. Key functions include strategy, planning, budgeting, execution, and performance measurement for marketing campaigns and marketing and communication projects. These campaigns and projects are vital to support Community Transit’s purpose, goals, and initiatives, and to overall promote use of Community Transit’s services and programs.

This role focuses on providing strategic and marketing expertise to the creation of thoughtful, well-executed plans for marketing campaigns and marketing and communication projects. These plans integrate marketing and communication channels (traditional media, organic and paid digital, social media, content marketing, field marketing, earned media, public relations) to achieve results. Acts as a strategic business partner within the agency to coordinate resources within Marketing, in partnership with Communications, and collaboratively across departments and functions.

Manages a group of Marketing Campaign Managers who turn the marketing strategies into reality:
  • Planning and documenting strategy
  • Determining tactics and audiences
  • Building timelines and deadlines
  • Coordinating across channels and teams
  • Managing development of creative and messaging
  • Overseeing implementation and deliverables
  • Evaluating and reporting performance
  • Refining and optimizing to increase effectiveness

Also manages Marketing Copywriter & Content Specialist. Provides direction for content creation and to scale key channels of social media and content marketing.
Essential Duties:
  • Develops marketing strategies to meet business goals by working collaboratively with the Marketing team, Communications team, key stakeholders, and cross-departmental partners.
  • Oversees development of robust strategic and tactical plans for marketing campaigns and marcom projects. Supervises the planning, budgeting, execution, and performance measurement of plans.
  • Provides key direction and expertise to team on marketing strategies, tactics, plans, implementation, reporting, and effectiveness.
  • Provides key direction and feedback on content direction, copywriting, and content marketing.
  • Supervises staff. Makes hiring, disciplinary, and termination decisions. Coaches, motivates, and trains staff. Prioritizes, assigns, and reviews work.
  • Leverages data, research, audience insights, personas, and relevant experience to drive strategies and recommendations. Considers the needs of diverse audiences and historically marginalized groups. Conducts research and testing to ensure creative and tactics resonate with intended audiences.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive work plans, calendars, and budgets that span marketing campaigns and marcom projects. Prioritizes projects and manages available resources with a focus on the agency’s strategic objectives.
  • Creates and maintains executive summaries that aggregate timelines, benchmarks, and performance metrics for all marketing campaigns and marcom projects. Analyzes campaign performance, identifies key insights, and creates action plans to optimize effectiveness.
  • Proactively manages expectations and timelines with Marketing senior management, executives, internal stakeholders, and partners to negotiate positive outcomes and attain buy-in.
Requirements:
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience in multiple areas of marketing (direct marketing, digital marketing, social media marketing, search marketing, content marketing, field marketing, brand positioning, etc.). Experience in an agency and/or in-house corporate environment preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in creating and executing marketing strategies, campaigns, and projects.
  • 3 years of experience supervising others and leading a team.
  • Experience determining effective strategies and analyzing results (such as: quantitative, qualitative, market research, A/B testing, and data analytics).
  • Experience marketing and communicating to diverse audiences. Experience using personas and/or audience segmentation data for strategic insights.
  • Experience in content strategy, editorial planning, content development, search engine optimization, and copyediting a plus.
  • Comfortable with advanced Excel and capable of manipulating data to perform analysis required.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment, while working independently and as part of a team and as a team leader required.

  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with teams/employees, supervisors, managers, board members, and the general public.
  • Applying intentional focus on equity and inclusion to support an equitable and inclusive work environment. Producing marketing campaigns and materials that reflect the community.
  • Monitoring, motivating, and evaluating staff.
  • Computer operation and software utilization (MS Office) in support of programs and projects.
