We’re looking for a full-time, staff Sr. Financial Analyst, A&E to join our Day & Zimmermann team this position can be remote or onsite at one of our locations.

Responsible for directly supporting the Finance Lead for Mason & Hanger with project controls, financial planning and analysis and will interface daily with program/project managers, accounting, contracts, procurement, pricing and other personnel. This individual will play a role in impacting business profitability through period closing, forecasting, internal financial reporting, cash management and process improvement initiatives. Will also represent the company externally as required.

As the Sr. Financial Analyst, A&E , here’s the work you’ll do:
  • Prepare and analyze estimate at complete (EAC) data and the associated reporting, including risk documentation, manpower planning and schedule integration. Research and resolve problems in the business that could materially impact financial results.
  • Generate accurate and realistic financial forecasts and explain associated variances to the budget. Maintain the rolling multi-year financial model that supports the monthly project review package and the quarterly forecast. Assist with the preparation of finance related items in supporting the strategic initiatives for the business
  • Maintain accounts receivable metrics for all assigned contracts.
  • Leadership of monthly project reviews acting as a first point of contact for operations staff and junior finance personnel.
  • Development of complex financial models to support proposal pricing and associated profitability analysis.
  • Create journal entries for revenue recognition, intra-company invoices, and cost reclassifications
This role is for you if you have these skills:
  • Solid understanding of program control techniques in the Federal contracting environment and finance/accounting principles including GAAP, CAS, FAR, standard financial metrics, and profitability analysis. Must include experience supporting a wide variety of contractual vehicles, with emphasis on Fixed Price and Lump Sum contracts.
  • Ability to be efficient while supporting many competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in SAP finance/accounting modules and reporting.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills to mine large volumes of data from various sources, analyze trends, and produce summarized results.
  • Effective use of oral and written communication skills, reason, and data compilation to influence others.
And if you have these qualifications:
  • B.S. In Accounting or Finance and MBA.
  • 5-7 years of directly related experience
  • CPA preferred
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance required.
