Gannett Fleming, Inc is looking for a Construction Scheduler. The Construction Scheduler directly supports medium to large scale projects by providing leadership, direction, and hands-on management for a large, complex program. In collaboration with the Program Manager, the Construction Scheduler supports all aspects of program execution, and ensures all staff associated with the program are supporting client needs. Successful candidates will have hands-on experience supporting large scale public works, transit and/or infrastructure projects and the knowledge/experience with core technical areas of the program.
  • Review and evaluate each construction contractor’s detailed CPM network diagram of the work to be performed.
  • Review and evaluate each construction contractor’s detailed Baseline CPM Schedule for the entire contract. Providing recommendations to the Resident Engineer and Project Controls Manager, for transmission to the DEP, regarding whether the schedule should be accepted or what changes should be requested before acceptance.
  • Meeting with client on regular basis to review and formulate project plans and deliverables.
  • Review and evaluate each construction contractor’s CPM Monthly Updates. Prepare the construction contracts monthly schedule analysis reports reviewing the updates submittals for the Project Controls Manager to transmit to the Client.
  • Provide recommendations to the Project Controls or Construction Manager, for transmission to the contractors, of comments to the updates. The updates shall be reviewed to determine whether they are timely and accurate representations of actual progress and future planning.
  • Coordinate proper communication and liaison between the Construction Contractors (for multiple contracts) regarding preparation and adherence to the schedules.
  • Provide input on the schedule analysis to the Project Controls Manager/CM for the input into monthly progress meetings and reports.
  • Assist the Project Controls Manager/CM with the schedule presentation at Monthly Meetings, as required.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or related technical field. Experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.
  • Minimum 10 - 15 years of current scheduling experience. Creating, updating, and analyzing of construction project schedule.
  • Must be proficient with Primavera P-6
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience with increasing responsibility with time spent working on construction sites.
  • Must be willing to travel to project sites as required by project responsibilities.
  • Experience with municipal or government agencies and public works projects highly desirable (wastewater, water, and solid waste project experience preferred)
  • PMI – PSP, PMP, CMIT or CCM Certification also a plus.
  • Ability to analyze construction schedules, produce progress reports and claims analysis and produce presentations using Power Point.
  • OSHA Certifications also preferred.
  • This is a remote position but must be able to commute to New York or Piscataway office when necessary.
