Position Overview


Under supervisory oversight, leads and executes on targeted client experience initiatives in support of US Markets and Latin America to maximize opportunities to engage with clients, in-person and virtually, at industry conferences, RGA-hosted events, key client meetings, and other experiential marketing opportunities. In coordination with the regional engagement strategy, leads and manages multiple initiatives leveraging core platforms, tools, and business intel to deliver premier client experiences on behalf of RGA business teams.


Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: In coordination with the business and marketing strategy, manages, and leads client engagement initiative execution. This includes developing multiple and thorough plans that identify a strategy in support of business objectives, provide opportunities to strengthen client relationships, drive revenue growth, and connect sales enablement and thought leadership.
  • Impactful Client Experiences: As regional client engagement initiative lead, responsible for elevating client engagement initiatives through unique and innovative experiences, where applicable. Responsible for developing engagement initiative experiential plan, directing the support team, and managing the other resources needed for the execution of tasks, including key and timely communications, planning meetings, setting clear objectives and roles, coordination with external parties, as applicable, as well as timeline and deadline management. Identify most effective internal and external resourcing options for efficient execution
  • Business Focused: In coordination with business teams, identify target clients for engagement initiatives and align with sales enablement plans and client marketing strategy. Manage client communications before, during, and post-client engagement initiative, including leveraging most effective and efficient communication means such as event platform and/or app.
  • Internal Communications and Reporting: Leads and manages all internal communications and coordination. Lead stakeholders and colleagues through planning, preparation, execution, and follow-up activities. Identify and communicate ROI efforts for colleagues through qualitative and quantitative reporting methods.
  • Process Optimization: As part of client experience team, lead and participate in cross-business line engagement planning, creating business and team processes for most effective planning and execution throughout the year. Lead and contribute to evolution of best practices and compilation of most efficient and effective experiential resources to maximize efforts and evolve and elevate our client experience.
  • Relationship Building: Serves as a CMS Team liaison to business teams and leadership. Delivers on a variety of business and marketing initiatives. Develops and maintains constructive, beneficial working relationships with internal and external clients. Acts proactively and continues to increase working knowledge of internal functions and activities as related to business development and client activity. Serves as an RGA client-facing representative, building and maintaining relationships with clients and industry bodies.
  • Market Insights: Using various tools and resources, conducts market research and provides client company information upon request to support sales of RGA products and services, including the development of executive summaries and internal research on small accounts.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in business development and/or marketing
  • 5 years of experience in the financial services industry

Preferred:
  • Advanced degree and/or certification, such as MBA, FLMI, or CLU
  • Progress towards FLMI, ALHC, or other relevant professional accreditation

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Required:
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Intermediate understanding of the US life, health insurance and reinsurance markets
  • Intermediate skills in customer relationship management and change management
  • Intermediate oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge
  • Intermediate investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate ability to set goals and handle multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously; Ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in department/team projects
  • Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and set applicable goals
  • Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines
  • Ability to travel domestically (<10%)
  • Ability to be flexible when needed, take initiative, and demonstrate accountability
  • Intermediate ability to translate business needs and problems into viable/accepted solutions
  • Intermediate negotiating and persuasion skills
Preferred:
  • Basic MS Access, SharePoint and CRM skills
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
  • Technical understanding of Reinsurance

State of Colorado: This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act. The pay range for this position in Colorado is $73k-$95k base per year. Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition, RGA compensation includes an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and maintains a full range of competitive health and life insurance, retirement, and other employee benefits.
