Job Description


Media Services plans and serves display (or "banner") ads across web, mobile, video (i.e. YouTube), and social media networks (i.e. Facebook). The purchasing of ad space is managed through a Demand Side Platform where you can control the cost and placement of clients' ads. The combination of creativity and strategic mobility associated with display ads make them a powerful way for companies to reach potential customers. Media Services Specialists at Merkle focus on the planning and optimization of this media across these different channels. They focus on display/banner ads and social, but also work with mobile demand side platforms, video display side platforms and direct publisher (traditional planning) based buying. You will create dynamic advertising strategies by combining your strengths in planning, analysis and creativity to reach clients' goals.

  • Organize and be responsible for campaign planning, set-up and management across a variety of vendors and platforms
  • Develop an industry knowledge, understanding of the advertiser's KPIs and audience strategy, and an understanding of the product offerings
  • Maintain awareness of new marketing platforms
  • Manage ad budgets, including allocation of monthly budget and tactic level budget optimizations
  • Analyze campaign performance and provide optimization recommendations

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, marketing, or related discipline preferred
  • Have outstanding written and verbal communications skills, especially strong presentation skills
  • Comfortable working in a start-up environment with changing workflows
  • Be detail-oriented, very organized, able to multi-task, and able to work well under pressure
  • Be able to explain complicated concepts to others
  • Well-versed in the core MS Office suite programs and an intermediate to advanced user of Excel including the ability to use formulas, functions, and pivot tables
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Keen problem-solving and trouble-shooting abilities; high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience working in DSPs, especially DV360, and Social Platforms (Facebook and Pinterest) a plus
  • Shopper, CPG or retail media planning experience is a plus
  • Experience with platforms such as CitrusAd, Criteo, or PromoteIQ a plus

Additional Information


The anticipated salary range for this position is $41,600 - $60,200. Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
