HCA Virginia’s new standalone emergency room (ER) in Fredericksburg, a department of Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, opened in early 2023. The state-of-the-art ER is staffed with board-certified emergency room physicians and nurses, 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. Prominently located on Route 3/Plank Road, this nearly 12,000 square-foot facility neighboring Quarles Petroleum, Royal Farms, Lidl and Harrison Crossing. Fredericksburg ER is just eight miles from the Spotsylvania Regional Medical campus.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you would prepare patients, collect relevant information for completion of procedures, and perform sonographic exams following defined protocols. Throughout the procedure, you would be observant of patients’ conditions, and notify physician of unusual occurrences.

  • Compile appropriate records to expedite results.
  • You will analyze the quality of images and processes as required.
  • Completes data sheet containing pertinent patient information following exam prior to forwarding to radiologist.
  • This is a call-only PRN position. Not regular shifts.

Requirements

  • Two to three years’ experience (preferred) as Radiologic Technologist or Sonographer, including two-plus years of experience in a hospital.
  • ARDMS eligible.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
  • ARDMS Certification preferred.

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
