This position will contribute to the software release quality by applying manual and automated testing techniques.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship around testing, automation, frameworks, tooling, best practices and solutions.
  • Work with senior leadership to articulate testing/automation solutions, ROI and costing across multiple portfolios.
  • Evaluate technical solutions from internal and external partners; refine and optimize testing strategies based on feedback.
  • Provide consultation on different testing and automation strategies.
  • Assess current state of automation and testing implementations and perform gap analysis.
  • Conduct proof-of-concepts, provide tooling solutions for any automation limitations.
  • Collaborate with architecture groups, delivery partners to build solutions on testing, automation to achieve CI/CD
  • Participate in Scrum, Daily Stand-up, Sprint and iterative development activities – prepared to take on any role within the Agile team.
  • Responsible for complying with the security requirements set forth by the Information Security team and the established ISO 27001 Security Roles, Responsibilities, and Authorities Document found in the ISMS Document Library
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
  • Protect CGI’s reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science or related field or similar experience
  • 4+ years' experience in automation testing development
  • Experience in architecting, implementing solutions/frameworks for front end and APIs.
  • Hands on experience with implementing Continuous Integration and build automation systems such as Jenkins/ Bamboo/ Octopus etc.
  • Experience with Source Code Management Tools (e.g., Git, TFS, RTC)
  • Experience using test management tools.
  • Extensive experience with UI Automation tools, preferably Selenium Web driver and Appium
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficiency with one or more of the following programming languages/frameworks: C#, Java, Python, .NET/Java frameworks
Preferred Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or information technology
  • Experience using Testrail/ Zephyr
  • Experience using Soap UI/ Rest Assured
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of cloud-based platforms such as Perfecto, Source labs etc.
  • Understanding of Non-Functional Testing
  • Awareness to TDD/BDD approaches and relevant tools such as Cucumber.
