That’s why we need you, a Software Engineer who supports US Army client at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Responsibilities: As a Software Developer on our team, you’ll help the Army by joining a development team focused on an Emulation Test Bed supporting upgrades, testing and configuration of network components while iterating new capabilities for the warfighter. Responsibilities include the following:

• System integration consists of upgrades, testing and configuration of network components on the Emulation Test Bed such as traffic stimulation (i.e., TGEN).
• Support system testing by performing various tasks such as test-scenario development, network traffic stimulation (e.g., TGEN), system configurations, test-run execution and monitoring, network-data capture, data storage, and post-test database generation.
• Data analysis entails analyzing the network data collected from the test runs and producing data products for management review. This includes 1) developing relevant performance metrics (e.g., throughput, latency, packet completion rate, etc.); 2) producing network topology graphs and correlating its impact on network connectivity during the test run; and 3) identifying anomalous network behavior and providing explanations and/or directions on how to resolve the issue.
• Develop and implement a test plan to validate major rewrite of a backend processor in C++.
• Design and develop new GUI screen to display network performance statistics.
• Updated the TRANCE backend PCAP parser to recognize packets from various VLAN locations.
• Develop automated and customized set of SQL queries to analyze network statistics.
• Troubleshoots external network issues as they arise.
• Performs other duties as required

Required Skills:

• Software Development in C++
• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or related field; work experience may substitute.
• Secret or higher Security Clearance
• Able to complete system integration consisting of upgrades, testing and configuration of network components on the Emulation Test Bed such as traffic stimulation (i.e., TGEN).
• Able to develop and implement a test plan to validate major rewrite of a backend processor in C++.
• Able to develop automated and customized set of SQL queries to analyze network statistics.

• Development expierence in JAVA, C#, or similar language: 3 years (Preferred)
• Emulation Test Bed: 3 years (Preferred)
