Southern Hills Hospital is located in Southwest Las Vegas just off the I-215 and Durango/Sunset exit. The facility is an accredited 265-bed acute care hospital providing emergency and pediatric emergency services, a behavioral health (geriatric psychiatric) inpatient and outpatient program serving ages 50 and older, accredited Chest Pain Center, a Certified Primary Stroke Center, a dedicated orthopedic and spine unit, OB-GYN, Level II NICU, diagnostic imaging and surgical services. Shift: PRN

POSITION SUMMARY:

The licensed therapist position reports directly to the Clinical Director and is responsible for providing a range of psychosocial services including assessment, treatment planning, therapy (individual and group), and referrals as part of a multidisciplinary team for adolescents (ages 12-17), adults and geriatric populations with behavioral, mental and emotional needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Master's degree in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited college or university

Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience working as a therapist in mental health preferably in an acute hospital or residential treatment setting.

License/Certificate:

  • Hold and maintain current Nevada licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • May be a Nevada licensed intern in either discipline working towards independent licensure. All incoming intern level positions must be supervised on site by a fully licensed clinician.
  • CPI certification within 30 days of hire

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Be able to handle multiple tasks pertaining to patient issues.
  • Be able to work in a team environment
  • A firm background in social service practice, patient aftercare and discharge planning.
