We are seeking a Social Media Manager to grow our followers, engage and retain them, and help convert them into leads, customers, and active fans and promoters of our company. As the Social Media Manager, you will align our social voice with our brand voice; speak to our audiences through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok,email, and emerging platforms. The ideal candidate will have a command of best practices and trends in social media marketing, enjoy being creative, and understand how to both build and convert a digital audience. Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy in concert with all other communication channels. Lead the development of organization-wide social media management standards, policies, and rules of engagement. This role also investigates new tools for efficient and effective posting, tracking, and reporting for social tools.

This position is on site-not remote

The Work

· Position Animal League America as a key leader, through commentary and online dialogue with other influencers, engage partners in ways that deepen impact, and brand organizational culture through representative examples.

· Shape direction and process needed to support content creation, coordinate with staff and manage external resources to assist in the production of said content, and leverage creative assets to grow following and increase conversions.

· Identify key online communities and conversations, map these relationships and disseminate related contact activity.

· Act as the project manager for the development and maintenance of the NSALA campaign / project calendar, including testing content and analysis. Provide clear, accurate data on a regular basis, identifying successes and areas for improvement. Communicate results of engagement and activity to both internal and external clients.

· Be an early adopter of new/emerging media technologies and make recommendations that add work efficiency, collaboration impact, and/or scale. As needed, train and keep relevant staff abreast of best practices.

· Contribute to the overall goals of the department and NSALA by helping with other departmental programs as needed.

· Set and exceed goals and benchmarks in order to drive success;

· Keep your finger on the pulse: stay ahead of emerging trends in social media.

The Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree required with five years in marketing, communications, or related field. At least three years of deep social media experience. Experience in managing a team.

· Active and well-rounded personal presence on social media, with a command of each network and their best practices.

· Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.

· Exceptional written communication skills, including a proven ability to craft messages that attract attention and drive social media sharing. Experience using social media tools as outreach and monitoring tools.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HTML and graphic design skills.

· Relationship-builder with the flexibility to "manage by influence". Possess an entrepreneurial spirit.

· Bonus experience and skills include Adobe Creative Suite, demand generation marketing, inbound marketing, and blogging.

· Ability to embrace and articulate the mission, core values and aspirations of North Shore Animal League America.
