Salary Range: $67,900.00 $105,000.00

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Social Work Manager for the outpatient neurology department will provide supervision and support to other neurology social workers. Additionally, the Social Work Manager will be assigned to a specific division to assist with psychosocial assessments, provide, or obtain supportive services, organize, and run support groups. The LCSW will assess and develop treatment plans with the clinical team and utilize knowledge of culture, age, and developmental stages to develop treatment plans and provide interventions as a member of a clinical team. The LCSW will also oversee educational and outreach programming.

Responsibilities

Advocate for and obtain appropriate services.

Provide or obtain concrete and supportive services.

Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and trainings.

Provide clinical supervision to LMSWs and social work interns.

Assist with the hiring and onboarding of social work interns and SWs for the department of neurology.

Essential Functions as Supervisor (30%):
Participates in orientation of new personnel.

Participates in departmental functions such as staff meetings, staff in-services, and committees, as assigned.

Participates in performance improvement and evaluation of neuro SW and SW interns

Organizes monthly neuro social worker meetings

Regularly provides supervision to LMSWs and social work interns

Serves as a resource for the Social Work Staff

Essential Functions as LCSW (70%):
Provides information, resource identification and referral services, mediation services, advocacy services, and education of individuals, groups, couples, and families.

Prepares and evaluates assessments, development, and implementation of social work service plans.

Performs case management, coordination, casework intervention, and monitoring of social work service plans in areas of personal, social, or economic resources, conditions, or problems.

Assists with administration, development, implementation, and evaluation of social work programs and policies.

Conducts social work consultation and resource development.

Coordinates community outreach and educational programming

Applies knowledge base, theoretical concepts, specific functional skills, and essential social values used to effect change in human behavior, emotional responses, and social conditions.

Helps enhance or restore personal and social functioning.

Documents according to departmental standards, Federal and State regulations.

Assures medical record documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related experience.

Master Degree in Social Work preferred from a CSWE accredited university/college AND a Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW) certificate from the New York State Education Department.

Other Requirements

Must possess a current New York State License and Master's in Social Work AND a License in Clinical Social Work.
