Position Summary:

Momentum Aerospace Group is seeking a JTAC Program Manager in support of our AFSOC JTAC Program.

The mission of a Special Tactics Group (STG) is to train, organize, and equip Special Tactics (ST) forces for rapid worldwide employment in support of the full range of Special Operations missions. The force is required to rapidly deploy in support of joint operations in all physical environments, night and day, to provide the Combatant Commanders the ability to project air and ground forces to any region of the world in support of our national objectives. Traditionally, Special Tactics Squadrons (STS) have organically supported their Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC). The number of qualified and current ST JTAC positions has increased to meet the growing demand. With this growth of operators and equipment, the program management and training requirements for JTAC have increased. In order to meet current worldwide requirements and, in an attempt to maintain at least the mandated deployed and sustained the force, ST must deploy all of its active duty JTACs including JTAC program managers, instructors, and evaluators. This means that while units are deployed JTAC training greatly decreases impacting training of future operators.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include, but not limited to:
  • Will provide JTAC Program Management, which includes instruction, evaluation for AFSOC Special Tactics units.

  • Will perform JTAC/JTAC-I/JTAC-SEE control duties,

  • Will provide Range Scheduling and Mission Duties for Range Operations,

  • Will oversee JTAC simulator operations,

  • Will provide CAS malfunction, accident, incident response and reporting,

  • Required to establish and maintain the unit JTAC academic folders and program plans,

  • Conduct limited weather observations as required,

  • Navigate day or night, to and from the training are complying with local range procedures,

  • Provide initial, recurring, spot, no notice and SEE objectivity evaluations on all trainees,

  • Maintain and update the unit JTAC currency tracker monthly,

  • Implement STG provided simulator scenarios and develop and maintain the squadron’s CAS simulator,

  • Provide upgrade and proficiency training in the simulator,

  • Shall participate in all virtual and DMO training and exercises as required,

  • Provide STG with unit simulator status on a monthly basis,

  • Will be readily adapt to teach Battlefield Air Operations (BAO), JTAC mission equipment, and simulator equipment reconfiguration, upgrade and modernization

  • The candidate shall possess advance knowledge of Special Tactics, Joint, and Special Operations Forces operations, employment scenarios, tactics, techniques, and procedures.

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements

Knowledge and Skills
The required skills and knowledge include:
  • JTAC Program Management experience
  • JTAC Instructor experience

  • Organizational and Project Management Expertise: knowledge of the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones, and methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions related to the events

  • Minimum of two years Active Duty, Guard or Reserve SOF JTAC experience

  • Must possess JTAC Instructor rating

  • Maintain JTAC, JTAC-I, JTAC-SEE qualifications

  • Maintain proficiency in simulator operations with the ability to calibrate and operate all assigned simulator equipment and operation required scenarios.

  • Must possess navigation/map and compass skills

  • Must possess a valid civilian Driver’s License and be able to hold a valid military Driver’s License

  • Other duties as assigned by Site Lead, Program Manager or customer

Education & Skills

  • High School Education or GED equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Access, Word etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to make a good company impression
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills

US Security Clearance Required: Secret - must be able to obtain/maintain per contract requirements

Education

The minimum level of education required is:
  • High school diploma
Other Qualifications

Outside of the above, other certifications, licenses, or clearances include:
  • Must be a US Citizen

Shift: Day Shift except for exercise events which will require various schedules
