The Black Belt will complete a structured training/certification program provided by the Cooper Tire Lean Six Sigma (CTLSS) program and will work closely with Production Personnel to optimize processes. In this position, you will be assigned complex problem-solving tasks and follow the DMAIC process as well as mentor Green Belt associates.

Job Specific Duties:

• Work collaboratively with Internal Customers to improve production operations

• Measurement System Analysis

• Become a Process Expert in all phases of production operations in assigned department

• Use various Six Sigma tools to help determine key inputs that are affecting the outcome of a process in an effort to reduce variation or waste

• Lead Quality and Throughput Improvements in assigned area

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business

• Extensive experience in Project Management and leading project teams

• Excellent communication skills and an aptitude to master the required statistical training

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must have displayed potential as future leader

• Prior Green Belt certification
