Summary: Join our Silver Dollar City family by applying to be an EMT. This 1880s theme park is looking for EMTs that will think quick on their feet, react calmly in emergency situations, and exhibits excellent guest service skills. In this position you will have the chance to interact with thousands of guests and help resolve any issues that may arise during their day. In order to be eligible for an EMT position you must be able to maintain a current, valid EMT / Paramedic license.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Assesses nature and extent of illness or injury, and determine appropriate protocols.
  • Establish the need for outside medical resources (i.e. ambulance or physicians)
  • Keeps current on department and industry guidelines, protocols, procedures, and equipment
  • Prepares required reports and maintains a record of activities and patient contacts
  • Restocks supplies, materials, and equipment
  • Cleans and performs minor maintenance to First Aid vehicles, office, and resources
  • Greets and directs guests and employees when they enter First Aid.
  • Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
  • Must have the ability to adapt to multiple and ongoing priority changes
  • Adjust and handle emergency situations
  • Demonstrate effective communication (face – face, radio, and written) with customers and employees.
  • Follow instructions and complete complex assignments

Required Skills


Education / Certificates and Licenses:

Ability to maintain a current, valid Missouri EMT / Paramedic License; current BLS Certification; current, valid driver’s license. Must be able to obtain a Missouri (Class E) License. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Computer Skills:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
