Hooker Furnishings is currently recruiting for a Showroom Warehouse Lead to work in our High Point, NC showroom locations. Hooker Furnishings Corporation, in its 98th year of business, is a designer, marketer and importer of case goods (wooden and metal furniture), leather furniture and fabric-upholstered furniture for the residential, hospitality and contract markets.
The Position
We are looking for a dependable leader with showroom and warehouse experience who will be responsible for all manpower and activities in our 220 Elm St showroom.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Supervision of manpower as well as temporary employees at 220 Elm showroom

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensure that manpower is available where needed
• Train all Temp Labor
• Use excellent interpersonal and communication skills to communicate with designers, coworkers, visitors, and employees.
• Work with designers to set and move furniture in showrooms
• Be flexible in all showroom activities that may arise. Priorities can change quickly, and we need a leader that can adapt.
• Establish accurate inventory
• Enter inventory into SAP
• Keep up with inventory on a daily basis in SAP

Candidates who will be a good fit will:

• Have 5+ years’ experience in Showroom/Warehouse or similar environment
• Be proficient in all Microsoft Office/SAP applications
• Be able to work at both 220 Elm and IHFC Showrooms and be available during Furniture market.
• Work overtime required as necessary
• Have a high school diploma

Shift: This is a full-time day shift position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday with some schedule variations as needed.
