Pye Barker Fire and Safety is seeking a Shop Technician for our Las Vegas, NV location. This would be a Full Time Position, Monday – Friday 8am to 4:30pm
Key Factors For Success:
This is a shop technician role that primarily involves recharging and testing portable fire extinguishers. Duties also include general warehouse operations such as receiving freight, operating a forklift, and stocking the warehouse.

- Familiarity with fire extinguishers/shop environment a plus but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Able to obtain the required Nevada State Fire Marshal Licenses for Fire Extinguisher, Low Pressure Hydrostatic Testing within 90 Days
- Maintain Inventory Stock Levels.
- Check in orders and stock all inventory items.
- Maintain adequate shipping supplies.
- Perform inventory counts as required.
- Keep shop organized and clean.
- Maintain, clean, and organize all shop tools.
- Responsible for maintaining extinguishers and system cylinders in various locations in shop such as: complete work, return bins, swap outs, condemned extinguishers, swap systems cylinders.
- Maintain a good positive relationship with the customer and pass on information to the appropriate personnel for follow up, quotes, questions, or concerns.
- Maintain equipment and tools necessary to safely perform job.
Skills We Are Seeking:
- No Experience Necessary
- Must possess the ability to calculate basic math, including fractions,
- Must possess the knowledge and ability to understand and operate basic computer functions, operating.
- Must currently have a valid U.S. driver's license, with a clean driving record.
- Willing to do overtime, if needed
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Walking, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, and raising hands overhead.
- Frequent lifting and carrying of toolboxes, equipment, parts, tools, equipment, cabling, and/or wiring.
- Frequent ladder climbing and checking, pulling wire, etc.

Compensation Range:
: $18.0 - $19.0
