GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The shop associate will provide support to the shop in expediting parts to the service shop as needed. Responsible for general upkeep and cleaning of Service Shop.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain overall appearance of the service shop.
- Operate vehicle for the purpose of picking up parts and supplies from various suppliers within a 100 mile radius.
- Work as part of the team and contribute to a positive, friendly and clean work environment
- Perform general housekeeping Load materials into vehicles and install bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
- Conduct transactions to sell parts to Service Shop for Mechanics to install.
- Rebuild brake chambers and reline brake shoes.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
- High school diploma or GED required; post secondary education or coursework desired
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills

The primary environment is characterized by Inside/Outside Conditions, Varied Temperature Changes, minimal chemical hazards, vibration, dust and vehicle noise.
