DESCRIPTION DU POSTE

Responsible for performing all shipping functions as necessary to ensure the accuracy, proper documentation and timely processing of finished goods shipped from the Stephenville site. Support operations by creating, printing, and acquiring appropriate shipping documentation for customer and stock orders ready for shipment. Supports Import/Export coordinator as backup when required.

PROFIL RECHERCHÉ

  • Print SAP packing lists and bills of lading for completed picking orders.
  • Perform ship completion task for completed picking orders.
  • Perform Electronic Data Collection (EDC) ship completion on SAP/computer system.
  • Add freight charges to sales orders on SAP when required.
  • Make appropriate carrier changes on the SAP systems to assure valid information retrieval for Customer Service.
  • Develop and maintain a practical understanding of transportation terminology, distribution concepts, and freight terminal procedures.
  • Perform SAP procedures for billing all orders.
  • Serve as backup for Import/Export Coordinator.
  • Complete WCM projects and other assignments as required by supervisor.
  • Keep supervisor informed of order status and issues.
  • Unload and accurately count purchased items received.
  • Responsible for the security of the shipping area.
  • Operate lift equipment in a safe manner.
  • Assist in maintaining good housekeeping in the department.
  • Develop, maintain, and complete any reports as required by supervision for reporting to management.
  • Acts on specific assignments and projects as directed by supervision.
  • Actively uses continuous improvements to reduce waste in all aspects of the shipping function.
  • Ability to lift up to 30-50 pounds on a repetitive basis.

DESCRIPTION ADDITIONNELLE

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess a basic understanding of personal computers with the ability to learn and interface with inventory control software and radio frequency systems.
  • Possess a basic understanding of inventory systems with the ability to learn Norton systems.
  • Be able to perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess good math, analytical, problem solving and training skills.
  • Possess good knowledge of coated abrasive products, processes, systems, and terminology.
  • Ability to learn and follow written procedures.
  • Be able to operate a forklift and manlift safely. Must be willing to obtain a forklift license.
  • Must be able to make decisions and work with other departments to meet and exceed all goals and objectives.
  • Must be able to lift weights of 50 pounds on a repetitive basis and up to 90 pounds on a non-repetitive basis.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours during a defined shift with the flexibility to work overtime or flex hours as required to coordinate with different shifts and fill in for all department vacancies due to vacations and absences or as required by management.
