Responsibilities

St. John ICU (Surgical ICU) is a high paced 11 bed surgical unit. We specialize in the treatment and management of a vast array of surgical specialties – vascular, thoracic, and general surgery to name a few. Our staff is dedicated to providing superior care to all patients we are fortunate enough to encounter. We have dedicated surgeons who collaborate with our exceptional nursing team.

Position Summary
Supervises nursing staff assigned to a particular shift. Assigns patients to available nursing staff taking into consideration the patient's condition and the employee's skill level. Assesses monitors and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary. Anticipates staffing needs and moves proactively to respond to them. Oversees stocking of supplies and updating patient records to ensure that the nursing floor is ready for subsequent shifts.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (e.g. ADN).
  • Current CA RN license
  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience (Critical Care) as a registered nurse.
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS
  • Current Bachelors in Nursing (BSN) or related healthcare field
  • Completion of Bachelors in Nursing (BSN) or related field within 3 years of hire

Pay Range

$65.22 - $84.26 /hour
