Aleknagik Technology, LLC is seeking a SharePoint Specialist to support the Information Management Division of William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC). The successful applicant will work as a team to provide a full range of IT services necessary to deliver SharePoint support and services.
Responsibilities
  • Shall have advanced knowledge and experience working with the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) environment. Extensive knowledge of IT concepts, principles, methods, and practices and experience in SharePoint administration in planning, installing, configuring, optimizing, integrating, and supporting Enterprise SharePoint systems utilizing Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2010 or higher version. This knowledge shall be used to plan and carry out difficult and complex assignments; develop methods, approaches and procedures; provide advice and guidance on a wide-range and variety of complex SharePoint issues; interpret SharePoint policies, standards, and guidelines; conduct analysis and recommend improvements to support long-range mission requirements. Knowledge of SharePoint Portal and current web hosting and design capabilities, posting on the server, testing and re-engineering existing web pages with WBAMC webmaster assistance. Ability to design, create, and maintain SharePoint sites. Knowledge of applicable software such as .NET, Extensible Markup Language (XML), HTML. Incumbent requires extensive knowledge of security (permissions), configuration, technical support, development, and expansion of the SharePoint sites, including portal development and technical coordination of liaison activities. Incumbent works with staff to create and implement sites to be used for collaboration, enterprise search, document management, content management, business processes and workflow, and Business Intelligence for all mission and related functions of William Beaumont Army Medical Center.   • Provide daily administrator support as needed for all SharePoint service environments. SharePoint application design is used to help integrated related tasks for various staff processes i.e., acts as Subject Matter Expert on SharePoint functionality to include interoperability between WBAMC and all end users.
  • Shall implement SharePoint based solutions and provide training to customers on the capabilities and utilization of developed solutions, including methods to acquire needed information. Perform formalized application analysis and assessments in customer organizations in order to provide increased effectiveness of the customer in performing their mission. The Contractor shall provide post development customer support for SharePoint solutions developed in-house, serving as point of contact to address various issues such as augmentation, maintenance, and problem resolution. In the process of proving problem resolution, the Contractor shall analyze failures, develop and install corrective procedures, monitor the execution of tests, and update documentation as appropriate.   • Responsible for initial and ongoing training of WBAMC SharePoint site administrators with emphasis placed on ensuring site administrators understand their duties and responsibilities with regard to management of site permissions and controls. (CDRL A024 – SharePoint Training Materials)
  • Candidate may be required on evenings, weekends, and holidays to provide guidance and support to customer support technicians on resolution of program/applications problems and/or failures and may be required to return to the work site to resolve critical problems. Typically, this occurs once per quarter.
Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must consent to and be able to pass a Government background investigation (includes finger-printing)
  • Certifications REQUIRED: at a minimum, CompTIA Security+ and at least one of the following Server+, MS SharePoint Certification or MCSE. Also, must obtain a Computing Environment within 6 months of the assignment.
  • Experience providing IT customer support in a professional setting preferred.
