SEWING IS A VALUED DEPARTMENT

Sewing follows the One-piece Flow system. One-piece flow is working as a team to complete one product at a time from off of the Pathfinder, through the sewing process, until that one product is sealed into a box and ready for shipment to our valued customers.

The Sewing Department is an enclosed and climate controlled work environment. We treat each other with respect and have fun, while working hard to meet our goals for our customers.

Sewing Job Duties:

  • Manufactures seat cushions, full chair and chaise cushions and pillows
  • Operates sewing machine to join, gather, hem, reinforce, or decorate articles
  • Selects thread, according to specifications or color of parts
  • Aligns parts, fasteners, or trimmings, following seams, edges, or markings on parts
  • Observes stitching to detect defects and notifies supervisor when defects are caused by machine malfunction
  • Sews parts with various types of stitches such as felling tacking, stitch and basting
  • Sets up machines and equipment
  • 1-3 years' experience preferred
Requirements:
  • Must be able to work in shifts 8-10 hours long (longer is needed), where you are regularly required to stand, walk, and use basic sensory functions
  • Must be able to pass sewing test
