Come join our team as an Assembly Setup Technician! As an Assembly Setup Technician, you will be responsible for the set-up, repair and continued maintenance of Assembly and Quality Control production equipment.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions involving pneumatic or mechanical components of production assembly equipment, using diagnostic equipment, and a variety of tools and repair techniques
  • Suggest improvements to production equipment through assessment of recurring problems. Accomplish these improvements by purchasing, fabricating, and installing of new or modified components
  • Perform preventive maintenance routines as determined by the Automation Group Leader for ensuring the efficient production operation of equipment such as assemblers, bowl feeders, assembly fixtures and automated special machines
  • Assist production as required to set up manual, semi-automated and fully automated assembly equipment for different production parts as required by the schedule
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions of QC testing equipment to maintain accurate testing of production parts
  • Practice good housekeeping and appropriate measures to prevent pollution or other negative impacts on the environment
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor

Shifts Available:

  • 2nd Shift: M-F, 3pm - 11pm (Shift premium available)

Qualifications to be successful:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Automotive experience will be considered.
  • Use of a variety of tools and repair techniques, including meters, hand tools, machine shop and welding equipment to accomplish necessary repairs
  • Technical Training in electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical diagnostics is helpful
  • Experience with industrial controls is highly preferred
  • Electric and Pneumatic experience is a plus

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

Manufacturing environment. Frequent stooping and bending. Ability to inspect small parts. Regularly required to sit or stand and move about the facility. Physical ability to lift boxes up to 40lbs. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
