Your responsibilities and tasks:

Completes plant / equipment optimizations, recommissioning, and audits for Brewery equipment.

  • Determination of the current status is cooperation with the operating personnel.

  • Develop process optimization measures, coordinate and implement them with the operating personnel.

  • Determine upgrade potential (yield- and/or capacity increase, raw material- and water consumption, and energy use) and check the implementation for its profitability.

  • Assist with new projects as necessary.

  • Submit suggestions for possible technical / technological developments and provide advice on how to optimize the operating instructions.

  • advise personnel of the plant operator regarding servicing / maintenance and process engineering of the plant, as well as instruct the operator personnel.

  • Create inspection reports, inspection protocols and communicate in English (German as well, a plus).

  • Active acquisition of services and upgrades as required.

  • Provide 1st level support to internal and external customers.

  • Write clear and thorough service tickets, inspection reports, customer visit reports within 10 days of completion of work for internal and external use.

  • Submits all time sheets, expense reports (within 30 days), and other required paperwork within the required timeframe.

  • Recommend parts for future service visits, customer inventory, and available upgrades and optimizations on Equipment.

  • Meets with customer at site to review work completed and discuss any next steps.

  • Provide accurate estimates of labor times to complete audits.

  • Adheres to OSHA, company safety policies, procedural guidelines and works in a consistently safe manner.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Ability to travel up to 70%.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Your profile and qualifications:

  • Brewer Master Certificate or equivalent. (M.Sc. Brewing- and Beverage-Technologies)

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in brewing (e.g., in engineering and/or commissioning)

  • Experience

  • Strong brewing or fermentation process background required.

  • Pump training, Hydraulics, process controls experience required.

  • Ability to read and understand instruction manuals, assembly drawings, and P&ID’s.

  • Proficient with Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Fluent in English both verbally and written.

  • Fluent in German both verbally and written, a plus.
