Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Handle the acquisition accounting of acquired entities, including leading valuation efforts internally and externally
- Ensure the day 1 integration of acquired entities which includes account mapping and ledger set-up
- Assist in the monitoring of goodwill and intangible assets for impairment quarterly and annually
- Manage the holding company accounting, which covers journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist in the general ledger/accounting aspects of strategic initiatives, especially with reorganizations, repatriations, et cetera
- Ensure all financial information is recorded in accordance with GAAP and federal/state regulations
- Participate in accounting special projects, including facility closings and conversion issues
- Participate in the month-end close process
Skills & Requirements
- CPA certification required
- 2-3 years’ public technical accounting experience
