SALARY: $ 20.48 hr + .75 SHIFT DIFERRENTIAL


The Senior Pack and Ship Team Leader helps ensure items are ready for shipment by placing them into containers, sealing and labeling the things, and preparing the item for transport. This person will lead both Pack and Ship and Value-Added Services business streams.


Shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - 7:00 am -7:30 pm


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Pack, weigh and label all picked items by following picking orders for shipment

Ensure picked items are in good working condition; identify defective items

Report any damaged items to Supervisor and ensure they are replaced

Properly use packaging materials, including hand tools, padding, etc. in a safe manner

Make sure packed cartons are sealed and labeled appropriately

Keep complete records of all materials that go through the warehouse; ensure all accompanying documentation is present with packed items

Solve order issues – mixed orders, tracking information, lost packages

Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

File claims

Provide team member coaching and development when required

Process Superior’s “Employee Company Store” purchases

Process 3PL parcels

Ensure physical inventory, tools and supplies are organized, lead department cleaning

Follow ISO/TL9000 requirements as it pertains to position

Must be able to read and write in English, bilingual a plus

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Problem solving skills; able to analyze situations, including ability to spot issues in efficiency/productivity and suggest improvements

Demonstrated ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams

Able to communicate well with others

Able to count and recognize product

Able to work in a team environment

Able to execute responsibilities with minimal supervision

Effectively train and coach employees

Can work well under pressure and ability to operate successfully in a very fast paced working environment


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisor responsibility


WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position works in a warehouse/distribution center setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and can be loud. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and maneuver around pallets. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects more than 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Must be able to climb a ladder and retrieve stock.


POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Normal business days are Monday through Friday. Work hours will be assigned in advance.


TRAVEL

No travel is expected for this position


REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma, or GED

Minimum 1-year supply chain experience or related field is preferred

Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS)

Computer proficiencies of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
