Ardelyx is a publicly traded commercial biopharmaceutical company founded with a mission to discover, develop, and commercialize innovative first-in-class medicines that meet significant unmet medical needs. Ardelyx’s first approved product for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C) is available in the United States and Canada. Ardelyx is developing XPHOZAH® (tenapanor), a novel product candidate to control serum phosphorus in adult patients with CKD on dialysis, which has completed three successful Phase 3 trials.

Senior Talent Acquisition Manager

Reporting to the CHRO, the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager (STAM) will provide strategic leadership in developing and overseeing a highly effective full life-cycle talent acquisition program with a focus on diversity. The STAM will serve as an Ardelyx ambassador, always representing the organization in the most positive regard, both internally/externally. The STAM will provide strategic consultation and partnership to hiring managers, effective and diverse talent sourcing and will be skilled at filling targeted positions to ensure all applicants have a solid candidate experience. The STAM will be exceptionally organized, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and will have a track record of instilling positive experiences when interfacing with a variety of stakeholders across the organization to execute on deliverables.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead recruiting function, driving professional talent searches for full-cycle recruiting
  • Partner with hiring managers throughout the organization to effectively source, recruit, evaluate, interview, and select top talent to meet the organization’s staffing needs.
  • Create, develop and drive a talent pipeline database to build/support diversity and inclusion with candidates of unique populations – including job fairs, specialized job boards, college recruitment, summer interns, etc.
  • Partner with HRBP to build and establish a summer internship program partnering with HBCU-network.
  • Work with hiring managers to understand business needs, develop search strategies, and address any challenges.
  • Create, update and/or develop position-specific job descriptions in partnership with hiring managers.
  • Develop position-specific recruiting campaigns, create and place employment advertisements, track progress of open positions, screen resumes/candidates, conduct phone, Zoom and/or in-person interviews, and provide support to managers during the hiring process.
  • Gather interview feedback from candidates, interview team, and partner with hiring manager to determine next steps in the hiring process.
  • With diversity in mind, proactively identify and recruit passive candidates, and continually build a pipeline of candidates for future consideration.
  • Problem solve and execute on any items regarding the recruitment process to ensure a smooth and successful process.
  • Effectively use Applicant Tracking System Jobvite to manage the recruitment process from job postings to hire.
  • Maintain compliance by ensuring all hiring processes are legal and align to best practice.
  • When applicable and approved, develop, and manage relationships with select third party recruitment agencies and staffing firms.
  • Partner with Legal to develop/maintain contracts for external vendors/agencies.
  • Partner with HR coordinator to support the flow of candidate interviews and interview-team huddles.
  • Identify and define process improvements to drive operational efficiency and achieve goals by implementing innovative search strategies to recruit top talent for the organization.


Competencies:

  • Polished, well-rounded senior level talent acquisition experience required (i.e. experience recruiting from the executive to individual contributor level).
  • Demonstrated business acumen in understanding business needs and applying appropriate strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills are required, as well as being an active listener and a team player.
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Thrives in a results-oriented, fast-paced work environment.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree + minimum 10 years recruiting experience.
  • Deep technical recruiting experience in a public, commercial life science organization required.
  • Experience successfully recruiting in cross functional matrixed corporate environment, supporting both commercial and non-commercial functions.
  • Proven effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build/maintain rapport and credibility quickly across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience managing high-touch, in-house recruiting.
  • Must be able to multi-task and adjust to changing priorities all while maintaining a consistent process and elevated level of service within the organization.
  • Flexible and able to build strong relationships from all levels within/across the org.
  • Clear and concise writing skills.
  • Solid ATS experience and knowledge is required.
  • Experience working with remote sites as well as working in small-mid size organization.
  • Solid skills in the Micro-Office suite.
  • Experience working with remote sites.
  • Travel up to 25%.


The anticipated annualized base pay range for this full-time position is $152,973 to $186,967. Ardelyx utilizes industry data to ensure that our compensation is competitive and aligned with our industry peers. Actual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target and equity awards, subject to eligibility and other requirements.


Ardelyx also offers a robust benefits package to employees, including a 401(k) plan, equity incentive plans, health plans (medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision) and basic life insurance and disability, as well as up to 10 hours of paid vacation per month, and at least 10 paid holidays.
