Our client, a non-profit based in Washington, DC, is seeking a Senior Recruiter to assist in a surge of recruiting efforts. This role sits within the Human Resources department. This recruiter will jump right in to handle full time requisitions across different departments, including finance, procurement, operations, marketing, communications and IT.

This is a contract position as the company recruits for the full-time permanent position on their own. The position will sit remotely, but have the option to go in on a hybrid schedule. A full criminal background check will be run upon offer. The position pays $32-38/hr, based on experience.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of full life cycle recruiting experience out of a professional services or non-profit setting
  • Proven experience in sourcing, applicant screening, interviewing and partnering with hiring managers
  • Proven examples of recruiting activity metrics including time to fill, number of requisitions worked and interview ratios
  • Education: Bachelors preferred, but not required
  • Soft skills: Excellent customer service, follow up and able to work well independently
  • Proof of vaccination against Covid-19: Required

Position Duties:
  • Manage full life cycle recruitment efforts including sourcing resumes, posting open vacancies, working with hiring managers on qualifications, conducting screening calls, setting up virtual interviews, managing closes and preparing onboarding materials
  • Serve in a front facing position to both external candidates and internal stakeholders, including hiring managers and members of the leadership team
  • Perform a variety of sourcing methods in order to attract and identify a diverse talent pool
  • Coordinate logistical information related to interviews including setting up panels, scheduling among multiple hiring manager’s calendars and providing virtual links and phone numbers
  • Serve as partner to hiring manager’s in providing detailed feedback and up to date recruiting metrics
  • Conduct reference checks and complete background checks
  • Manage onboarding materials including new hire orientation, technology set up and manager introductions
  • Make recommendations for improvement to the recruitment process based on pointed data from the job market
