Senior R&D Chemist Job at Ascensus Specialties LLC
· Carries out and finishes routine production within expected deadlines in an independent fashion.
· Suggests scientific principles and aids in the design and development of robust, cost-effective manufacturing procedures and associated analytical methods that meet quality, health, safety, and environmental standards in conjunction with their supervisor.
· Understands chemical principles, techniques and measures individual progress of assigned projects.
· Evaluates the chemistry behind experiments in detail with a view to improve production efficiency and presents for approval of their supervisor.
· Searches detailed scientific literature and carries out limited informed research and development with some supervision in a reasonable time frame.
· Attends meetings, seminars and educational opportunities to gain and improve chemical and technological background to stay abreast of new developments/technologies in areas of responsibility. Proposes the introduction of technologies outlining the positive impact to the product for cost and/or quality.

· Responsible for maintaining a clear and detailed lab book.
· Responsible for maintaining neat, clean and safe work area.
· Performs other duties of similar complexity as directed.
