Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC, a leading provider of energy, sustainability, and climate consulting services to the federal government, is seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate to support our defense clients across the energy, resilience, and sustainability portfolios. A successful candidate will enjoy leading small project teams to develop polices, strategies, and projects focused on enhancing energy and climate resilience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in federal energy and climate policies, be detail oriented, and comfortable serving in a client facing role. Some travel may be required with this position. This is a remote position with clients located in the Washington, D.C area. Candidates will need to be able to operate on an Eastern time zone-based schedule to participate in client and team discussions.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead ongoing energy/water resilience efforts, with the objective of translating those processes and lessons learned into implementable frameworks
  • Apply technical knowledge to the development and management of energy projects and pilot programs, such as carbon-free energy and net zero
  • Serve as a primary POC for clients on larger and/or more complex projects
  • Ensure project teams have the ability to meet the client's technical and process requirements
  • Facilitate policy and strategy development focused on improving installation energy and climate resilience
  • Work independently to develop tools and procedures that enhance DAF energy and water resilience
  • Provide detailed updates to leadership and stakeholders by participating in meetings/forums
  • Build strong client relationships
  • Mentor and assist with the development of junior staff


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, science, public policy, management, or related discipline with at least ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience; Master's Degree preferred
  • Possess an interest in identifying innovative processes and technologies to enhance energy and climate resilience
  • Willingness and ability to set priorities and deliver under tight deadlines in a heavy workload setting
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to conduct research, apply principles, concepts, and methodologies to difficult and/or varied assignments
  • Capacity to both lead and work in teams, and establish and maintain cross-functional and working relationships
  • Provide original and creative input to meet objectives and new assignments
  • Capability to independently initiate and manage tasks, with a high degree of detail and process orientation


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in government consulting or supporting government organizations
  • Proven experience in facility energy and water use management, with a focus on planning
  • Familiarity with Air Force/DoD energy and water resilience requirements, processes, and tools
  • Knowledge of Air Force structure and operations
  • Possession of excellent data gathering, analytical, problem-solving, and client service skills
