We’re winning work and have opportunities for an experienced, senior-level mechanical engineer to act as a project manager and lead teams for select projects, work directly with clients, and provide technical oversight and mentoring for junior staff. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and coordinate mechanical and multi-discipline project teams
  • Oversee the application of firm-wide engineering and quality standards
  • Actively mentor design staff in mechanical and plumbing design
  • Manage scope of work changes
  • Conduct QC reviews on assigned projects
  • Act as Professional Engineer of Record, stamp, and sign deliverables
  • Provide technical consulting to clients based on professional expertise
  • Identify, pursue, and track project leads to build new and existing client relationships
  • Assist in responding to RFQ/RFPs and develop fee proposals for projects
  • Attend project interviews and client engagements; prepare and deliver presentations to prospective and existing clients
  • Write articles, white papers, blogs, and other content for collateral marketing

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in the building design or construction industry
  • Active professional engineer registration in the State of Washington
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, fire protection, building automation controls, sustainable design, and all aspects of mechanical design for the built environment
  • Experience successfully delivering mechanical and multi-discipline projects to Architects and Owners in diverse markets, including healthcare, military, commercial, higher education, life sciences, civic, and government
  • Well-developed and demonstrated project management and people management skills, including managing budgets, mentoring staff, holding others accountable for deliverables, interacting with diverse personalities, and influencing others
  • Track record of successful business development and marketing efforts
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP
  • Proficiency with MS suite (Word, Excel, Project Outlook)
  • LEED AP Certification is preferred
