About this Position:

Work with all factories that produce for the domestic market to resolve market concerns, come up with a proper countermeasure and provide robust repair information to the field to repair customer vehicles. Provide technical expertise to support current and improve future products to exceed customer’s expectations, ensure a positive ownership experience, and promote lifetime owner loyalty.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform analysis on identified market quality problems and issue QIS’s. Provide source materials to publications (Service News/Service Bulletins etc). Advise appropriate market action.
  • Review the NA Priority list to ensure subject and model items are ranked correctly. Determine if QIS items meet P1/P2 criteria. Create P1/P2 document for management review.
  • Monitor quality for all responsible categories/models from all factories.
  • Support all activities related to FMC (full model change), support Service University and IQS/PQS events. Support TALK 3/CST.
  • Create presentations on concern items for QIS reports for monthly management review.
  • Manage efforts between factory MQ, HRA, NASTO, TSD, and TAC associates.
  • Review PDI Checklist, PDI Bulletin, NAVI PDI Bulletin, Owners Guide, Owner’s Manual, Maintenance Journal, Personalized Settings, Tech2Tech Scripts.
  • Provide technical support to several groups outside of VE including Campaigns, ACS, PRO, HNA Law, Product Development, Warranty, Publications, DPSM’s, FTS’s, SPPC, Tech Line
  • Mentor Sr Engineer l
  • Support Special/Advanced Service Projects (KOQ, OTA, Prognostics, SRS AB)

Required Work Experience:

  • 10+ years or work experience plus 1 year of experience working within an automobile manufacturer’s service/engineering department

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related major) and/or work experience.

Desired skills:

  • Vehicle evaluation skills with strong emphasis on automotive system knowledge.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High proficiency with ms office (word, excel, & powerpoint
