Connections Health Solutions is a physician-owned, multifaceted behavioral health company whose mission is to address any behavioral health need at any time. We are hiring a Senior Director, Urgent Care and Transitions who will be responsible, in partnership with the other facility leaders, for all aspects of the clinical and financial operations of the Urgent Care and Transitions programs within the Crisis Center facility(ies). The Senior Director, Urgent Care and Transitions is also responsible for Patient Satisfaction, Growth, Financial, and Quality Outcomes. Sets the tone, in partnership with their leadership team, for the facility by actively engaging in staff, program, and leadership development.
Responsibilities:
  • Supports the facility Leadership Team in the planning, development, and implementation of clinical operations that deliver care that is timely, safe, effective, efficient, equitable, and recovery-oriented, in alignment with the Institute of Medicine’s aims for quality healthcare.
  • Develops and executes the P&L strategy for the market and has shared P&L responsibility for the company. This includes overall budget preparation and management and partnership with Revenue Cycle management to ensure profitability.
  • Monitors market performance and implements standardized performance report cards and improvement plans for utilization and identified cost outliers; incorporates new, innovative, emerging and/or effective quality and cost control.
  • Partners with Medical Leadership to ensure high quality and consistent clinical service delivery across all disciplines. Thinks creatively toward development of clinical programming and establishment of program goals, as well as identifying clinical opportunities to improve revenue through billing processes.
  • Manages fiscal operation of the Urgent Care and Transitions program through monthly budget reviews of revenue and expense analysis to determine potential variances and adjust as needed. Participates in development of fiscally responsible budget to ensure profitable operation of the facility.
  • Accountable for delivering on contract and programmatic performance metrics across all payor classes (Public and Private) and clinical programs.
  • Oversees Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement activities. Ensures that internal performance goals are set and reviewed and that these goals support the overall corporate mission and values while also being responsive to local community needs.
  • Works in close collaboration with compliance staff to ensure that clinical services, documentation, training, and supervision meet regulatory requirements.
  • Actively participates in program compliance monitoring and works with appropriate departments to ensure both quality and clinical compliance standards are met.
  • Develops strategic partnerships with local stakeholders, such as local hospital systems, regulatory/state bodies, law enforcement, and other community agencies and entities.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 7 years of clinical and/or behavioral health operations, or relevant healthcare experience
  • 3 years of progressive leadership experience
  • Direct P&L responsibility management experience or responsibility
  • Experience leading large clinics with multiple service lines, and large clinical teams in an emergency room/high acuity 24-hour facility environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
  • 10 years of clinical, crisis operations, or relevant experience
  • 5 years of progressive leadership experience including P&L responsibility
  • Current independent licensure in Nursing or Behavioral Health
  • Experience in emergency behavioral health including policies, procedures, and regulatory expectations
