About the Role:
Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank, is hiring a Senior Credit Risk Officer for our American Fork branch, servicing locations throughout our footprint.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Making loan decisions or recommendations for new loan opportunities, renewals, and / or modifications.
  • Managing credit quality (delinquency, charge offs, non-accruals, problem loans) for specified regions of the bank
  • Overseeing and maintaining proper loan grading for specified regions of the bank.
  • Being a credit resource to loan officers structuring and underwriting loan opportunities.
  • Calling on existing and proposed clients with the loan officer to be a credit resource where needed.
  • Proactively manages risk / exposure and compliance within the bank's portfolio.
  • Assists in participation with bank credit committees as assigned.
  • Assist and mentor loan officers and credit analysts in writing complete, articulate, loan credit presentations with risks identified and mitigated.
  • Assist in recommending and writing credit policy improvements as needed.
  • Manage direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of the human assets of the company, including: hiring, directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies and work rules. Appraise performance and provide recommendations for staff compensation, promotion, and termination, as appropriate.
About You:
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • At least fifteen years similar or related experience.
  • A college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, business management, or commensurate years of experience in the field.
  • 15 years of commercial credit granting and monitoring experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles, credit policy, applicable laws and industry data sources.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong Technical and Analytical skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
