SENIOR CREDIT & COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST
within our Accounting Department
located in the Corporate Office at:
150 Price Parkway
Farmingdale, Long Island, N.Y.
This is a position within our Accounts Receivable Wholesale department that works primarily with Builder/Contractor customers, as well as management companies and wholesalers. There is a heavy emphasis on monthly billing through the completion of requisition spreadsheets for goods and services which have been delivered.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor accounts on a daily basis and manage outstanding accounts receivable
- Take actions in order to encourage timely payments (collections calls, emails, etc.)
- Assist with payment application and reconciliation
- Enlist the efforts of sales and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process
- Communicate & follow up effectively with the sales dept regarding customer accounts on a timely basis
- Resolve billing issues and discrepancies
- Verify lien releases
- Process credit applications
- Accountable for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts
- Prepare monthly requisitions
- Submission of invoices and requisitions via various e-filing platforms
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Job Requirements
The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and possess strong interpersonal skills along with problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous Collections or Accounts Receivable experience is preferred.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are also preferred.
