DEXX Laboratories, Inc. seeks a Sr. S AP Application Developer ( telecommuting permitted to IDEXX worksite in Westbrook, Maine) to support, plan, and coordinate technical activities relating to software development within SAP landscapes in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment. The primary responsibilities of the Sr.
SAP Application Developer include transforming traditional ABAP programs in legacy SAP ECC system into S/4 HANA architecture; designing and implementing CDS Views and AMDP based on the business requirement with code push downs, Gateway service exposure and embedded analytics methods; designing Adobe interactive forms offline and online scenarios with WebDynpro ABAP screens; designing feasible technical solutions that address current business needs but do not impact the ability to upgrade in the future S/4 Release and S/4 Cloud Adaption, within the specified timelines; gathering application specific project requirements; participating in pre-project launch discussions with architects; driving detailed application design in SAP applications by leveraging SAP standard solutions wherever possible; collaborating with Solution Architects on project design; facilitating design reviews and discussions; providing required specifications; reviewing codes and implementing best practices on development; driving superior quality in technical deliverables; reducing or eliminating design or development defects; and ensuring a comprehensive System Integration Testing. Position requires Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field; 5 years of experience; and the following proficiencies/skills: SAP; Advanced Business Applications Programming (ABAP); BDT Framework Enhancements for business Partners; BAPI; Webservices; Standard Program debugging technique and/or other object oriented and procedural programming languages; applications development process; software development methodologies; and Microsoft Desktop tools.
