Security Officer - PT Job at Seneca Gaming Corporation
The Officer is responsible for properly executing security duties on an assigned shift, to adequately protect the life and property of customers, employees and Seneca Gaming Corporation property while maintaining exceptional customer service. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.
Position Requirements
Education/Experience:
- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
- High school diploma or its equivalent required.
- Applicants with Gaming, Military, Law Enforcement, Police or Security backgrounds will be looked upon favorably.
- Candidates who have a good understanding and working knowledge with computers are preferred.
- Must have good observation skills.
- Must have good writing and spelling skills.
- Prior customer service experience preferred.
- Must have proven customer service experience and must be able to work in an intense and fast paced environment where a high degree of concentration is necessary to perform the required job duties.
Language Skills and reasoning Ability:
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
- Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
- Must have ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

- Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.
- Must be able to stand, walk and move through all areas of the casino.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, noisy casino environment and effectively deal with guests, management and employees in all situations.
