Job Description
Our Security Guard oversees keeping our residents and building safe. You should also be able to act quickly on your feet and think clearly under pressure. You are the right candidate if you are pleasant, detailed oriented, and friendly.
Responsibilities
- Protect the company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Observe for signs of crime, or disorder and investigate disturbances
- Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences and develop reports for use by leadership
- Report in detail (verbally and in written form) any suspicious incidents
- Patrol building and perimeter randomly and regularly
- Monitor and control access to building entrances and vehicle gates
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to communicate verbally and in written form and cooperate effectively with others
- Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position
- Trained security officer
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Surveillance skills with orientation to detail
- Integrity and professionalism
