This job would be from the last week of March through the end of October. Corporate Training (fully paid for) will be some time in March at another Ben & Jerry's location. Expect 20-30 hours during preseason(March-Mother's Day) and shoulder season (Labor Day-End of October). Full time hours Mother's Day-Labor Day.

This job also has a growth opportunity to take over our catering operations. This would include a bump in pay, hours, and the opportunity for work during the off season (November-February)

PAY:

Base Salary: $20.50. Managers also receive tips, weekly, and biweekly bonuses and incentives that can bring the hourly rate to $27+ an hour during peak season.

OBJECTIVES:

To plan and manage the retail operations of this scoop shop to include the planning, operations equipment maintenance, marketing and financial reporting of this location.

To ensure that the development and implementation of all systems fully support and comply with all franchise operating systems.

To ensure the proper hands on training support is provided. Training that focuses on daily operations, customer relations, staff orientation and cleanliness.

STAFF: Assistant Manager, Team Leads and Team Members

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Manage the scoop shop staff, ranging from 10-15 team members.

3. Manage the training, orientation, and development for all store team members.

4. Establish a motivating work environment that actively encourages and supports employee involvement with an eye towards possible job advancement that is aligned with individual goals.

5. Supervise the implementation of all store policies and procedures.

6. Implement the systems and procedures outlined in our Operating System Manual that will ensure the accuracy of all register, cash and financial transactions.

7. Manage the procurement and storage of all on-site inventories.

8. Supervise and organize the tasks needed to maintain the overall operations including store & staff appearance, customer service, cleanliness, compliance with all safety and operating standards, merchandising and promotional execution.

9. Effectively communicate with internal and external customers, contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth store operations. Respond and handle all customer complaints.

10. Ensure the maintenance and safe operation of all equipment within the scoop shop.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Be the age of 18 or older.
• Able to work March through October.
• Available to work days, nights, and some weekends as well as summer holidays.
• Must have experience supervising others.
• Must have customer service experience.
• Dependable with a great attitude
• Be able to stand for long periods of time
• Be able to push, lift, and/or carry up to 20 lbs. unassisted
• Previous cash-handling experience preferred
• Flexible schedule (this is not a typical 9-5 job)
