Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding scientists in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

  • As a key member of the Discovery Chemistry team, you will be part of an integrated, multidisciplinary research team making significant contributions toward the discovery of important new drug candidates. Your responsibilities will include:
    • Leading MedChem and/or cross-functional team efforts to deliver high quality lead compounds across multiple new targets/projects.
    • Playing an important part in the successful delivery of a range of anti-cancer drug candidates for frontier oncology targets.
    • Being a partner in the scientific activities of other medical chemists and cross-functional team members, helping create an environment where we channel scientific curiosity to build and deliver a sustainable portfolio.
    • Advancing the RevMed Research Portfolio and helping build our scientific reputation through presentation/publication of project results in scientific meetings and peer-reviewed literature, as guided by RevMed publication policies, to build our scientific reputation.
    • Enhancing our operational efficiency & flexibility through the management of external chemistry CRO resources, continuous improvement activities, and implementation of best practices.
    • Experience with NMR, synthetic chemistry (natural product synthesis), and/or reaction methodology are a plus.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • Ph.D. degree in chemistry alongside a strong track record of scientific innovation in the synthetic chemistry discipline.
  • Innovative team player with high energy for our fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and achieve research goals as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Recognized as an intellectual leader with a track record of patents, publications, and, project achievements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with interdepartmental teams.

Revolution Medicines currently requires that all personnel and visitors to its offices be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This role will require that the employee meet with company employees and work from the company’s offices. Given that these essential functions of the role must be performed on-site, this position requires full COVID-19 vaccination, subject to applicable law.

The expected salary range for this role is $115,000 to $138,000. An individual’s position within the range may be influenced by multiple factors, including skills and experience in role, overall performance, individual impact and contributions, tenure, and market dynamics. Base salary is one part of the overall total rewards program at RevMed, which includes competitive cash compensation, robust equity awards, strong benefits, and significant learning and development opportunities.
