SCHOOL BASED SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Columbia, Missouri
- We are also seeking staff for schools in the surround Boone county area including Centralia, Missouri
What you’ll get to do:
- Provide on-site intervention in area schools for clients enrolled in the program and will collaborate closely with school staff to ensure appropriate client care.
- Participate in the process of monitoring client progress in treatment programs
- Development of specific individual treatment/rehabilitation plans
- Provide individual assistance to clients as a resource in accessing needed mental health services and completing activities of daily living skills
- Assist the client to access and utilize a variety of community agencies and resources to provide ongoing social, vocational, educational, and recreational support and activities.
What you’ll bring:
- A proactive, and client-focused approach to breaking the stigma of mental health.
- A passion to make a positive difference in the lives of others every day.
- A reliable vehicle and favorable driving record
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor is Degree In: Psychology, Criminal Justice, Counseling, Social Work, Education, Recreational Therapist, Human Development and Family Studies, Gerontology, Rehabilitation Counseling, and Sociology.
- Valid Driver’s License, Current Auto Insurance, Favorable Driving Record.
- Reliable Vehicle.

You will be working in area public schools.
