Dairy Farmers of America is looking for highly dependable team players to join our staff as a SANITATION TECHNICIAN at our Mechanicsburg, PA facility. Position: Sanitation Technician

Shift: Sunday thru Thursday. 7:00am-3:30pm.

Description: The role of the Sanitation Technician is to perform operations including but not limited general cleaning of production areas, clean-in-place (CIP) and clean–out-of-place (COP) equipment, exterior of building, and other areas as assigned.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning procedures required by the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and other required duties to maintain assigned areas sanitary and clean, i.e., floor drains, hand wash sinks, overheads, production trash cans, clean floors, walls, ceiling, air vents, lights, ledges, beams, etc., of the plant, equipment, and exterior of all equipment, etc.
  • Complete, maintain, and review of daily and weekly area cleanliness and other reports
  • Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrive
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, sanitation, and Safety requirements and report any nonconformity
  • Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Attend required training, including but not limited to Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
  • Work schedule may include on call and weekend shifts

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Skill in proficient computer usage
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
