As a Seasonal Sales Merchandiser at SBM Life Science you are responsible for product merchandising in stores located within an assigned territory. During the territory’s “season”, this looks like: establishing and cultivating relationships with retail partners, restocking product, and reviewing store-specific merchandise display plans (planograms/POGs), gaining incremental space, and maintaining active communication with your Area Sales Manager (ASM).


The ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50lbs regularly is a job requirement of this position. In addition, storing and moving products may require repeated squatting, bending, and reaching. As a Seasonal Sales Merchandiser have flexibility with in your working schedule and there are full and part-time seasonal hours available.

What A Typical Day Looks like for a Sales Merchandiser:

  • Arrive on time consistently according to agreed upon schedule with your ASM.
  • Build and maintain product displays according to SBM brand standards and store-specific planograms
  • Use various equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks, tall ladders, etc.) to transport product to correct location.
  • Print labels for merchandise displays.
  • Ensure actual and recorded inventory accounts match via store systems.
  • Communicate issues and opportunities with ASM and store associates.
  • Create and maintain relationships with store management to position SBM products in prime off-shelf locations.
  • Consistently and correctly use multiple digital platforms for time & attendance and customer relationship management (CRM).
  • Provide customer assistance in stores.
  • Represent SBM Life Science and help us “Grow tomorrow, together”

Basic Qualifications:

  • Highschool diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years knowledge and/or experience in sales, customer service, and/or instore merchandising
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and submit to pre-employment screenings upon hire
  • Must be able to lift to 50lb consistently
  • Must be able to repeatedly climb ladders and squat, bend, and reach consistently
  • Must have car to access multiple store locations during work hours
  • Must have Mobile Smartphone
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication
  • Must be able to show proof of motor vehicle insurance prior to start date
