Our Energy Solutions business unit is hiring our next Sales & Marketing Analyst (Commercial Analyst), where you'll work with our sales and marketing leaders in the division to provide valuable insights and analysis that help drive the business. The role will be based out of our corporate office in Wauwatosa with the ability to be remote two days per week.

Position Description

Lead the sales and marketing insights and analysis needs for the Energy Solutions business and use data to help the business understand its customers, market behavior and growth drivers, and analyze data for trends that impact sales performance. Make recommendations to maximize profitability. Develop and execute recommendations to improve key functions such as sales forecasting, advertising effectiveness, customer lead conversion rates, etc. that directly drive sales and impact brand awareness. Manages master data sets, develops reports, and troubleshoots data issues.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conducts market studies and/or analysis to understand distribution and trends of specific market segments and translates into research plans.
  • Extracts data from Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Business Intelligence (BI) software to provide insights and reports for the sales and marketing teams.
  • Analyzes external and internal customer data using various software tools including; Adobe Suite, Microsoft Dynamics, Google Analytics, Search Console, etc.
  • Implements and maintains web analytics tags to accurately track visitor behavior.
  • Manages master data, including creation, updates, and deletion within the reporting database.
  • Provides quality assurance of imported data, working with quality assurance analysts if necessary.
  • Creates, analyses and troubleshoots data visualizations, dashboards, and system reports.
  • Researches competitive pricing models and value drivers.
  • Trains end-users on new reports and dashboards.
  • Develops insights on business segments, categories and markets and summarize the implications to the business.
  • Coordinates discussions between multiple functional areas to drive progress on shared objectives.
  • Translates data/analysis into insights/information/language that is understood by stakeholders.
  • Develops tools, and templates that support processes linked to strategic objectives.
  • Creates standardized summaries and ad hoc analysis of research findings and/or various data sets.
  • Communicates and maintains current / historic insights from a variety of internal and external sources.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Requirements

  • Well-developed experience in digital marketing analytics, conducting market research and/or analytical projects
  • Proficient in software analytic platforms including Domo, Adobe Analytics (Omniture), Microsoft Dynamics, Google Analytics, etc
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced global environment with ever-changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to translate less-than-perfect data and research into actionable insights that are understood and accepted by a diverse audience
  • Expert skill set level in MS Excel or Google Sheets
  • Strong skills in data visualization, developing reports and analyzing data to problem solve
  • Ability to gather data from a number of different sources for financial modeling
  • Solid analytical and project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent computer skills including spreadsheets and presentation software
  • Strong internal and external communication skills and ability to develop and facilitate discussions with a variety of personalities
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of seven years of experience in sales analysis, market research or other data-rich fields
  • Familiarity with home improvement or clean energy products preferred, but not required
