PeopleTec is currently seeking a Rotorcraft Design Performance Engineer to support our Huntsville
, Alabama location.
In this role the qualified candidate will provide management and oversight of rotorcraft system design with a primary focus on evaluation of predicted and measured rotorcraft flight performance and the design decisions and tradeoffs impacting that performance for the aircraft design. Other duties include but not limited to:
What you’ll be doing:
- Brief senior management on status and progress of each assigned project on a regular basis
- Manage complex technical projects and associated risks from concept development through fielding within a team environment
- Monitor OEM design progress to facilitate successful implementation and certification of the aircraft’s flight control systems.
- Generate contracts requirements packages and acquisition program milestone documentation
- Recommend courses of action based on technical maturity, cost, and schedule
Qualifications:
Required Skills/Experience :
- 10 years of experience in the design and qualification of rotorcraft systems
- Strong knowledge in rotorcraft performance and flight planning
- Experience in the principles of rotorcraft design and performance evaluation
- Able to utilize Systems Engineering principles and tools as well as Test and Evaluation methods and strategies.
- Travel: 25 %
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
Education Requirements :
- Bachelors' Degree in STEM
