Bobcat of Cape Cod in Bourne, MA is looking for a qualified technician who lives and wants to work on the island. I bet living on an island means you don't want to work on weekends! No problem! What will fill your day

  • Travel to customer sites to perform diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on customer's Bobcat equipment.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems.
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engine mechanical and management systems (diesel fuel injection).
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulics and hydraulic controls.
  • Write to document diagnostics and repair steps to capture the equipment's story.
  • Utilize general and advanced diagnostic equipment in the diagnostic process.
Requirements:

Some must-haves to be qualified

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Some technical training (degree or certificate) preferred but not required
  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience repairing Bobcat or similar compact/heavy construction equipment in professional or personal setting.
  • Ability to travel and repair equipment at the customer site
  • Strong electrical/electronic skills a must.
  • A tool inventory
  • Strong ability to use a laptop to diagnose problems.
  • A strong work ethic, punctual and dependable
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Current driver's license and ability to obtain a medical card

The physical stuff

  • Standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, crouching, reaching or similar.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • The work involves working around mechanical parts, moving machinery, exposure to fumes and occasional exposure to outdoor elements.

Other good stuff

  • Highly sought after work schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, occasional overtime may be necessary
  • Location: Provide service to clients on Martha's Vineyard, travel to Bourne, MA facility, as necessary
  • No Weekends!
