Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation (MCNR) a premiere non-profit, five-star, 88 bed skilled nursing facility, is seeking a dynamic nurse with strong clinical and leadership skills, especially in infection prevention, to join our professional nursing team as the Assistant Director of Nursing.

Job Requirements

· Collaborate and communicate effectively with the DNS

· Guide the professional development of the nursing staff through in-service, competency and evaluation of staff professional development needs.

· Make recommendations for training to the DNS

· Complete Standards of Care

· Complete infection control monitoring, statistical data collection and reporting

· On-Call rotation required

· Knowledgeable and skilled in wound care

LEADERSHIP QUALITIES

· Should be skilled in directing, motivating and training the staff; be able to organize and prioritize; have effective communication skills and be able to maintain confidentiality.

· Must react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.

· Requires knowledge state/federal regulations and facility policies regarding nursing standards and delivery of care.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIRMENTS

· A background of five years of experience in nursing with two years as a supervisor in a long-term care environment is required.

· Demonstrated knowledge of nursing practices, techniques and methods as applied to skilled nursing

· Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred) with a valid state of CT. RN license and CPR certification.

· Infection Preventionist preferred or must be willing to become certified

· Wound certification or must be willing to become certified
